Vaccines are safe and effective

Childhood vaccination is one of public health’s greatest achievements.  Vaccines are safe and effective.

Immunizing against preventable diseases is one of the most important things we do to help protect your child as we partner with you to help them grow and develop.  While it is true that vaccines have varying efficacy and do have adverse effects at times, the net effect is to save an incredibly large number of lives, improve quality of life, and save our society a lot of money in the process.  The routine vaccine schedule has been proven safe and effective, and we strongly recommend our patients follow it.  In fact, our own children follow it.  I’m adding a link with reputable sources for the research that supports the safety and effectiveness of vaccines.  I urge anyone interested in knowing more, or considering delaying/declining vaccination, to explore:
